Tony Randall Speaks About Being on a Failing Television Show

Tony Randall: I thought it was the best show on the air and I was proud of it. And most of the season we were up against the worst show on the air “ Love Boat” and it wiped us out. What does that say about the taste of those who stay home Saturday nights? Than they took us off for a month and put us back on a new night and we did a little bit better there but when they move you around you cannot build ratings and ratings are all that count.
