Israeli warplanes hit Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza

GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 9, 2025: Israeli warplanes hit Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the blockaded Gaza Strip on Wednesday, July 9. The warplanes targeted the neighborhood with more than 20 bombs, according to locals sources, causing massive explosions and plumes of thick smoke to rise from the area. The exact number of casualties from the attack has not yet been confirmed. At least 36 more Palestinians, including children, were killed on Wednesday as the Israeli army intensified its airstrikes across the war-torn Gaza Strip, medics said. The Israeli army has killed nearly 57,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages and a spread of disease. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
