General Election 2010: Labour press conference; Lord Mandelson (Peter Mandelson - Business Secretary) press conference SOT- when I came back to government Britain was highly exposed to financial crisis but government was gripping it/ I've seen a boldness and decisiveness at centre of govt that matches scale of challenge/ That grip or focus has not faltered for one day since that crisis broke/ Not one good idea or sound judgement from Tories to get us through crisis/ they are just a couple of kids in school trousers - Dave and George - running around saying Britain is broke like Greece - saying this week if the country doesn't vote Tory the financial markets will pull the plug/ They never stop talking Britain down: it is pathetic, desperate, borne of irresponsible political opportunism/ if Tories do get in, there will be one heck of a price tag attached to all the promises they've made in this election/ Tory give-aways amount to 38bn pounds during election campaign so far - a bill of 1500 pounds for every family/ If you vote Tory in May you will be stung in June
