Ukrainians bid farewell to deadly helicopter crash victims in Kyiv

KYIV, UKRAINE - JANUARY 21: A farewell ceremony was held for the victims of the deadly helicopter crash, in the capital of Ukraine on Saturday (Jan. 21). The sombre service which took place at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv, was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife, the heads of the parliament and the government, Ukrainian politicians, diplomats, chiefs of the security forces and departments of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine, according to an Interfax-Ukraine. Mourners paid respects to the victims laying flowers on each of the seven coffins draped in the blue and yellow flags of Ukraine. The helicopter crash in the Brovary city of Ukraine’s Kyiv region on Wednesday killed at least 17 people including Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, his deputy Yevhen Yenin, and State Secretary of the Internal Affairs Ministry Yurii Lubkovych on Wednesday (Jan. 18), according to Ukrainian officials.(Footage by Vladimir Shtanko/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
