Hunn In Lollard's Tower

The body of English merchant tailor Richard Hunn hanging in a cell in Lollard's Tower at Lambeth Palace, London, after his murder in 1514. Hunn, who had disputed the jurisdiction of the Ecclesiastical Court, was accused of heresy after a Wycliffe Bible had been found at his house. John Wycliffe's English translations of the Bible inspired the reformist Lollard movement and brought him and his followers into conflict with the Catholic church.
