Stars of the top TV show Emmerdale Danielle Brown (Paulette Lewis, left) and Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) were on hand to take calls at the national call centre of the British Epilepsy Association, during the week-long campaign to promote awareness of the condition which affects one in every 130 people in the UK. BEA employee Maxine Gulley (centre) explained to Danielle and Dominic that 82 people throughout the country are diagnosed with epilepsy every day and the centre in Leeds handles more than 800 calls from patients, friends, family and carers every week.
