Moroccan born Dutch national Samir Azzou

NIEUWEGEIN, NETHERLANDS: Moroccan born Dutch national Samir Azzouz (2nd R) is released from a prison in Nieuwegein, 06 April 2005. A Dutch court earlier acquitted Samir Azzouz of planning terror attacks on government buildings, only sentencing him to three months in prison for illegal firearms possession. Samir Azzouz, 18, stood accused of planning attacks against the Dutch parliament, Schiphol airport near Amsterdam and a nuclear plant. But the Rotterdam court acquitted him, ruling there was "no direct evidence he was preparing an actual crime", presiding judge Sonja de Pauw Gerlings said.
