Congressman Jackson and Colby discuss what department doing to ensure intelligence and force posture in Africa sufficient at oversight hearing

Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson and Defense Undersecretary Elbridge Colby discuss what the department is doing to ensure intelligence, force posture and partner support in Africa are sufficient to keep pace with the growing terrorist threat and execute NDS objectives, with Colby responding they have been active over the last couple months on this important issue in line with the President's authorities and they have a great combatant commander General Anderson out there and great team, noting he will have to get back to Jackson on the specifics as it may need to be in a classified format in terms of intelligence coverage but it is something they talk about a lot to make sure they have the global requirements for priority high end challenges but also to be able to use consistent with the defense strategy to support presidential objectives in theaters like Africa at a House Armed Services Committee hearing.
