The body of Hisashi Ouchi, covered by a white cloth, is taken from Tokyo University Hospital 22 December, 1999 after he died of multiple organ failure some two months after Japan's worst nuclear accident. Ouchi, who died late 21 December, and other two workers were injured at a nuclear plant in Tokaimura, some 100km northeast of Tokyo, 30 September when they illegally used steel buckets to pour uranium into a tank, setting off a self-sustaining nuclear reaction.
