Dean’s Yard is a large, gated area which covers most of the old monastery of Westminster and is part of the campus of Westminster School, London. Westminster School (The Royal College of St. Peter in Westminster) is one of the leading independent (‘public’) schools in England. It was founded in 1179 by Benedictine monks.
