7th September 2023. Looking north over Cullen harbour to Moray firth. Cullen, a former royal burgh, is probably best known for Cullen Skink' ( a fish soup invented here). It is a popular holiday village of Cullen is one of the most beautiful little places on the picturesque Moray forth coast. Cullen's ancient harbour dates back at least a thousand years and was once a famous Scottish 'herring harbour' (the 'silver darlings') in the 18th and 19th century.
