Senator Schumer attacks fake math of GOP tax reform promises

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York says that morning, Trump administration Chief Economic Advisor Gary Cohn suggested that tax reform would be paid for entirely by economic growth using a dynamic scoring model, Cohn, a Goldman Sachs veteran, would have been kicked out for using that funny kind of math. Schumer argues it is fake math based on examples of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts, which grew the deficit and backers of similar models during the Ronald Reagan administration for what he calls selling tax cuts through growth as simply a bill of goods using fake, fake math.
