EJ 08:43:01 CLIPS: Video clips of the lion scratching and biting at the glass partition, Jack is seen sitting on the other side calmly, and Jack watching a crocodile through another class partition. Clint Baltzor, his wife Heather Baltzor and their toddler son Jack Baltzor join Jenna Wolfe live in Studio 1A. JENNA WOLFE: Good morning to all of you. Ms. HEATHER BALTZOR: Hi. Mr. CLINT BALTZOR: Good morning. WOLFE: So now that you've had a little time to let this sink in, what are your reactions? And what are you thinking when you're actually watching that video now sitting here? Ms. BALTZOR: It's crazy. We just thought it was a funny video we were going to share with our family and now it's everywhere. WOLFE: Does it make you nervous at all to watch it as parents? Are you like, ooh, ooh, be careful, be careful? Does that make you nervous in any way, especially when she opens her big mouth like that? Mr. BALTZOR: No, we trusted that the zoo had a engineer, you know, properly make the enclosure. So it doesn't worry us at all, no. That's--if we thought that he was going to be injured at any point we wouldn't have taken him there, so. WOLFE: Were there--were there other people around that were watching this as well? Were they laughing? I mean, were like zoo officials a little concerned in any way? Ms. BALTZOR: No. There weren't any zoo officials nearby, but there were other kids around, but the lion just liked Jack. WOLFE: And what about other parents? Were parents worried that maybe you should pull Jack away, even though there was this glass? Mr. BALTZOR: Not really. It seemed like as soon as it started happening, a lot of people started crowding around and then trying to get their kids up there, just, you know, get their kids close to the a--to the lion, so, you know, it was just amazing. WOLFE: You know, as a mom, I mean, when you see your kid right there and then you see this lion has opened the mouth as if trying to eat... Ms. BALTZOR: Yes. WOLFE: ...doesn't that get your heart going just a little bit? Ms. BALTZOR: That was crazy. Mr. BALTZOR: Yeah. WOLFE: And Jack didn't even really respond. He was unfazed. Mr. BALTZOR: No, he likes the cat we have at home and he's kind of an animal person, so. WOLFE: Wow. Either you guys have a really big cat at home, or he's just—and did other animals come over or just the lion? Ms. BALTZOR: Other animals did come over. He got to see the jaguars and the alligator came over, so, thank you. WOLFE: Now, this all happened because you put him in a zebra looking sweatshirt. Did you do that on purpose? Ms. BALTZOR: No, of course not. WOLFE: You didn't. Ms. BALTZOR: I mean, we all own striped shirts, so. WOLFE: So that was just by coincidence? Mr. BALTZOR: Yeah. We didn't even realize he was in a striped shirt until one of our friends commented on Facebook, when we posted it there that... WOLFE: That's what it must have been. Mr. BALTZOR: ...he looked like a zebra. Yeah. Ms. BALTZOR: Mm-hmm. WOLFE: Awesome. Well, your video obviously went viral. People are very engaged in this. Jack, any final thoughts at all before we go to break? He is just beyond mesmerized with that iPhone. Ms. BALTZOR: Can you say hi? WOLFE: High five, Jack. Mr. BALTZOR: High five. WOLFE: There you go, buddy. Clint, Heather and Jack, we thank you guys so much for being up and hanging out with us this morning. Ms. BALTZOR: Thank you. Mr. BALTZOR: Thank you.
