Pride and Prejudice Ball To Celebrate The 200th Anniversary Of The Book

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice Chatsworth stately home staged a regency costume evening. Chatsworth House is believed to be the inspiration for Pemberley, the residence of Mr. Darcy. Austen based her idea of Pemberley on Chatsworth House as she wrote the novel in nearby Bakewell in 1812.
