UNESCO World Heritage Site 'Pont-Du-Gard' Under Pyrotechnic Light Show

The ancient Roman aqueduct bridge crosses the Gard river in Southern France. It was built by the Romans in the 1st Century AD. It is the highest remaining construction of all Roman aqueduct bridges in the world, standing at 40 m high and 274 m long. The bridge has three levels of arches and formerly carried an estimated 200 billion liters (44 million gallons) of water a day to the population of city of Nimes.
