South Africa¿s only representative on the ASP Women¿s World Tour Rosy Hodge (East London) (pictured) reached Round 3 of the Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks on Australia¿s Gold Coast today, where she was eliminated by Rebecca Woods (AUS). Hodge narrowly missed qualifying for the 2008 ASP Women¿s World Tour at the end of 2007 but was awarded a spot onto the top tier tour in place of Chelsea Hedges (AUS) who has withdrawn due to her pregnancy. The Roxy Pro is the first of eight stops on the ASP Women¿s World Tour and includes the world¿s top 17 full-time touring female professional surfers plus one wildcards. The event has a ten day waiting period but requires only two full days of competition to be completed.
