Vagabond Poet And His Dog

(Original Caption) 1/17/1946- Philadelphia, PA: This bright eyed little dog is called "Pee Wee" one of seven owned by Walter Ward, called the "Vagabond Poet" of Philadelphia. Ward is a peddler, who sells the usual little things, bobby pins, razor blades, matches, etc. He picks up stray animals and gives them a home until such time as he can find an owner who will love themas he does. He once owned a boiler factory with his father in New Orleans, but prefers the life he leads to that of a tycoon. "Pee Wee" usually travels in a coat pocket. SEE NOTE
