Child Labour In Kashmir

Millions of Indian children still have to work for a living to support their families and missing out on primary education. According to the 2011 national census , India has 4.35 million child labourers, aged 5 to 14, with rampant cases of slavery, sexual assault and emotional abuse. The Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act, 1986, prohibits the employment of children younger than 14 in 83 occupations and processes, and "regulates the conditions of work of children" in all others .
