Glasgow, UK - July 22, 2011: The Glasgow Spanish Civil War memorial, a sculpture commemorating those Britons who fought in the International Brigades in Spain between 1936 and 1939. The memorial was sculpted through the mid 1970s by Arthur Dooley, a noted communist artist. The figure represented is the Republican politician from northern Spain Dolores Ibarruri, better known as La Pasionaria.
